EXHIBITION AT RYEDALE FOLK MUSEUM – From 26th October.

A mixed selling exhibition which draws on the changing landscape from autumn to winter.

The exhibition includes black-and-white photography from Peter Heaton, Graham Chadwick and Richard and Janet Burdon, local photographers who catch this dramatic change in landscape in their own distinctive way.

‘The Landscape rests in splendour as the cloak of winter descends to hide its colour from view; we wait, and anticipate its re-awaking’

Also on show are glass, metal and ceramics inspired by the landscape around us. Artists include  Gillies Jones Glass, metal sculptor Graham Anderton , wrought iron sculptor James Godbold and ceramicist Andrea Cundell. Their pieces reflect the tough unforgiving landscape that supports the fragility of flora and fauna.

‘From earthly matter beauty is created’.

With Christmas on it way this exhibition may provide you with some ideas for Christmas gifts and our shop has some lovely items for those little extras!!!
